The all-new Ford Fusion is the American automaker’s newest competitor in the midsize sedan market, and Ford will be kicking off its marketing campaign for the car with three new television commercials.
The recently reviewed Fusion also had a strong presence at the 2012 SEMA Show, with a collection of customized Fusions in the Ford booth. With its new ad campaign, Ford will be focusing on how the Fusion sets itself apart from the “bland competition” with the first commercial showcasing how the Fusion is the only car left on the road as other vehicles become invisible.
The second commercial will show a Fusion driving off of a cliff, showing the “one thing” the versatile sedan can’t do. Lastly, the final commercial will show other cars moving backwards while the Fusion progresses forward towards its destination.
“The media launch of the Fusion will showcase how Ford is shaking up the bland midsize sedan segment,” said Jim Farley, group VP of global marketing, sales and service. “Why do car buyers have to sacrifice styling and forward-looking design for fuel economy? They don’t.”
