The British automaker teamed up with yacht design specialist Ivan Erdevicki and design project management company Seventy Seven Design to produce the concept speedboat, which shows off what Jaguar is all about: luxury and sport. The boat measures in at 20-feet long and features a gel-coat fiberglass hull with teak decking. The decking is further accented by a carbon fiber fin.
A 2+1 cabin design was meant to mirror those found in Jaguar’s vehicles, while an aluminum propeller and pop-up mooring reflects how the boat can be powered and docked.
Unfortunately, Jaguar has no immediate plans of producing the speedboat and selling it to the public.
“We recognise that both our existing and future customers enjoy diverse and active lifestyles. With the launch of the new Jaguar XF Sportbrake, we had an opportunity to create a vision of how our design philosophy might be applied to an alternative product, in which speed and beauty are also priorities,” said Ian Callum, director of design at Jaguar.
