Ford is currently under fire for mileage claims on the Fusion and C-MAX Hybrid models, but the automaker is standing firm by its claims.
Ever since Hyundai and Kia have had to issue out a recall on its mileage claims on several models, owners not achieving claimed figures are speaking up. Ford however, believes that its vehicles’ fuel efficiency numbers won’t change but did acknowledge that it is working with the EPA to determine if changes are necessary.
According to Ford President of the Americas Joe Hinrichs, the American automaker “followed the Environmental Protection Agency test guidelines.”
