The votes are in, and the award for the Reader’s Choice of Crossover of the Year goes to the 2013 Ford Escape.
AutoGuide readers, as well as the members of over 360 forum communities were all asked to vote in their own awards, and the Ford Escape came out on-top in the Crossover of the Year category, beating out several other vehicles in a hotly contested segment. The Escape was victorious over the Ford C-Max, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mazda CX-5, Nissan Pathfinder, Subaru XV Crosstrek, and Toyota RAV4 EV.
In our Ford Escape Review, we loved its eye-opening styling as well as its great handling. “The drive itself is excellent, as we’d expect from a crossover based on the fun Focus,” said AutoGuide.com Editor-in-Chief Colum Wood. He added “It’s more enjoyable than it needs to be (always a bonus), reacting fast with a direct electric power steering system.”
