The hype of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray’s debut at 2013 Detroit Auto Show has hardly subsided, and now there’s more excitement behind the American automaker’s seventh-generation sports car.
It’s inevitable that Chevy will debut a Corvette Stingray convertible variant, but no one probably thought it’d happen this soon. What appear to be official images of the Stingray convertible have leaked onto the Internet, and by the looks of things, these are not renderings and are the real deal.
Compared to the coupe variant, it appears that the convertible model will come with smaller 18-inch wheels in the front and 19-inch wheels in the rear, while the rear noticeably lacks a spoiler, giving it an even sleeker design.
Given that images of the convertible have already hit the Internet, we expect this Corvette variant to make its debut either at the Chicago Auto Show or the New York International Auto Show later this year.
