2014 Mazda6 Officially Priced and EPA Rated

Mazda just officially announced pricing and mileage estimates for its 2014 Mazda6 mid-size sedan.

Well, sort of. The cat got out of the bag two weeks ago when information surfaced on the brand’s consumer site, but this is the first time there’s been official press confirmation, and Mazda is also confirming mileage estimates. In case you missed it, here’s the recap.

Mazda’s mid-size sedan is restyled for 2013 as a 2014 model with its new KODO “Soul of Motion” design language. Finding yourself into a such-styled sedan will set you back at least $21,675 including the delivery fee.

That price can run up to $30,290 for the “grand touring” package which includes heated leather seats – as opposed to cloth or leatherette – as well as optional safety features like forward obstruction warning and lane departure warning.

The release confirms that the car is estimated to get 38 mpg on the highway, but 26 mpg in the city which is one less than previously reported. Averaged, that simmers down to an expected 30 mpg average, all when equipped with an optional automatic. Then again, the only model available with a manual is the base trim version. Both the touring and grand touring trims come exclusively with an automatic transmission.
