Aston Martin is celebrating 100 years in style, first announcing special Centenary, limited edition models and now airlifting its Vanquish onto the helipad of the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.
Putting on a show in front of some of the region’s most important dignitaries, the British automaker became the first vehicle ever placed onto the hotel’s helipad, sitting 1,000 feet above the ground. As one of the most iconic automakers in the world, Aston Martin is working on becoming a globally renowned luxury car brand, and this appearance was the first of many that will be happening worldwide this year.
In its home country, Aston Martin plans to hold a week-long festival from July 15 to July 21 and will include open house activities at its Gaydon, U.K. headquarters. The week will end with a 1,000-guest birthday party on July 20 to be followed by a spectacular Centenary gathering in central London the following day.
Aston Martin will also be making stops at major automotive events throughout the year, including the Nurburgring 24 Hours, Silverstone Classic, Villa D’Este, Le Mans 24 Hours and Pebble Beach.
