Cadillac has officially opened its V-Series Academy at Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club to the public this month, allowing Caddy enthusiasts the opportunity to take a CTS-V around the track in a one- or two-day course.

Spring Mountain, which is located outside Las Vegas, Nevada, features four miles of racetrack and 125 feet of elevation change. With a blend of car control exercises and on-track performance driving, the V-Series Academy puts drivers to the test behind the wheel of the American automaker’s 556 hp V-Series family.

Designed by legendary race car driver Ron Fellows, the V-Series Academy’s classes are offered throughout the year and are limited to just a dozen students per session. A one-day session costs $1,295 while a two-day course is $2,295.

“The experience of driving a Cadillac V-Series car is extremely convincing,” said Don Butler, vice president of Cadillac marketing. “This new partnership with Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch opens a new experience in a truly luxurious setting for consumers to enhance their skills and put a series of world-class performance cars to the test.”

Over the years I have been to Spring Mountain several times – have been through each level they offer in the Z06′s and have been through their Radical program as well.  It is a top notch, first rate facility.  The instructors are an amazing group of people.  You get a lot of actual “seat time” and fantastic instruction.  IT is an awesome program – I would recommend it to anyone considering such a program. Check out their website – lots of info there.

Need more info on what one gets for their money.  Is there a request list for brochure or flyer? This should have a link to the school so one can gather more info before commitment.
