Later this week at the Tokyo Auto Salon, Toyota Racing Development (TRD) will reveal the GT86 Griffon Concept, and today the brand released a short video clip teasing the car.
TRD claims that the Griffon Concept lapped the Tsukuba circuit faster than a Ferrari 458 Italia, thanks to lightweight parts, tweaked suspension, and likely some kind of forced induction. The video shows the the car being fitted with new panels to help aerodynamics, as well as some carbon fiber bits to help shed weight.
The engine note is also featured in the video, which clearly is not stock. All the official stats will be unveiled on January 11 at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon.
