New information about the U.S.-bound Mercedes-Benz CLA compact sedan leaked today through a dealer order guide.
The guide, which was posted on a CLA forum today reveals that the sedan will be sold from launch as the CLA 250 with front-wheel and 4Matic all-wheel drive. Both feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine with 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque mated with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
Customers will also be able to choose a spot package that adds an AMG body kit with more aggressive styling, 18-inch AMG wheels, bigger brakes and drilled front discs – all of which will cost a total $2,000.
The $2,200 “premium” package offers similar features to the same package in other models. That includes a garage door opener, compass, satellite radio and heated seats.
Meanwhile, there will also be a $2,300 “multimedia” package that adds a rearview camera, seven-inch screen and more. Some of the safety features you might associate with more expensive models also come in a “driver assistance” package including adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection and lane keeping assistance.
An official MSRP wasn’t included in the document and each page has a note saying all prices are estimated, but Mercedes also said during the Detroit Auto Show that the car is expected to cost around $30,000 to start.
