Mercedes-Benz has released a darkly lit image that shows the interior of its new flagship model, the S-Class.
The centerpiece of the new interior is a touchscreen with a 12.3-inch diagonal width. Its Comand Online system features an Intel Atom processor, a piece of tech that is normally reserved for laptops. New curvaceous styling cues are found throughout the interior, along with a horizontally designed dashboard fitted with ambient lighting, leather wrap and wood inlays.
To fill the gap left by the exit of the Maybach, Mercedes focused much of its attention on interior comfort in the new S-Class, outfitting the backseats with features like a new massage system with 14 air cushions and six different programs, the ability to recline up to 43.5 degrees, heated armrests, and active seat ventilation that can reverse the direction of the fans within the seat to draw in air.
Also new for the S-Class is an active perfuming system, which uses ionization to cleanse the air, and atomisers to add a fragrance. Four scents are available: freeside, sports, downtown and nightlife.
