Hyundai Assurance Connected Care Notifies Drivers of Recalls

Building up the capabilities of its Blue Link telematics system Hyundai just revealed Assurance Connected Care at the New York International Auto Show, an advanced connectivity system that offers drivers a wide range of convenience and safety features.

This technology takes Hyundai’s customer commitment to the next level, building upon its Assurance Program, which launched in 2009. The pillars of this include a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty as well as five years/unlimited miles of roadside assistance.

Assurance Connected Care is integrated into the company’s Blue Link telematics system. Some of its features include automatic collision notification, which contacts 911 services in the event of an accident; vehicle diagnostics with monthly health reports; maintenance alerts; and in-vehicle service scheduling. The system can even alert drivers if their vehicle has been recalled.

Hyundai claims it will be the first manufacturer to offer built-in emergency care and support services for three years. Starting on May 16 Blue Link-enabled vehicles will be offered with Assurance Connected Care. Pricing and packaging details will be announced in the coming months.
