Do social media references and new tech features translate into products that appeal to young car buyers? Nissan hopes so.
Or at least that’s how it seems. The Japanese automaker is teasing a concept ahead of the Shanghai Auto Show on April 20. While details on the concept are still under wraps, Nissan says it features a special center console that allows “Four Seats, One Mind Connectivity.”
The brand vaguely explains what that means by saying it allows for equal information sharing for everyone in the car. It isn’t clear what that means, but Nissan’s description sounds an awful lot like something out of Star Trek.
From the two teaser pictures, this car looks like it has a lot in common with the Resonance concept Nissan brought to Detroit in Januaruy. That was said to preview the next Murano, which is also for sale in the Chinese market. Given that, this could preview what Nissan is considering for in-car tech with its next mid-size crossover.
