Toyota to Post $13-Billion Annual Operating Profit

A solid sign of Toyota’s recovery, the Japanese automaker is expected to announce a post operating profit of around $13.1 billion for the year.

That figure is 3.7 times more than the previous year and Toyota hasn’t posted numbers like this since 2008. For the year through March 2008, Toyota had posted close to a $23 billion operating profit. The figure is also $1.5 billion more than the automaker forecasted in February.

Toyota is planning to unveil a new Corolla in a month, which AutoGuide will be attending. The new Corolla will surely continue to bolster Toyota’s sales into the future.
