The all-new second-generation Nissan Versa hatchback, now called the Versa Note, will have a starting price of $13,990 excluding a $790 destination fee.
The starting price of $13,990 for the 2014 Nissan Versa Note S is actually $680 cheaper than the outgoing Versa Hatch S with a manual transmission. It will join the Versa Sedan in the lineup, but sports a hatchback and will go on sale this month at Nissan dealers nationwide.
The Versa Note is powered by a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine with 109 hp and will be available as a base model S with a five-speed manual transmission, an S Plus model with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and the top-of-the-line SV CVT. The S Plus starts at $15,240 while the SV CVT has a starting price of $15,990. Both exclude the $790 destination fee.
As for fuel economy, the Versa Note offers 40 mpg on the highway and a best-in-class 31 mpg in the city. Its key features include class-exclusive Around View Monitor, available active grille shutter for enhanced fuel economy, class-leading cargo space, and available NissanConnect with navigation system.
