Sedans and small crossovers composed this week’s top five most popularly researched cars this week.
The AutoGuide.com new cars section saw familiar favorites this week including the Toyota RAV4 and Ford Escape. Both come with a 2.5-liter four cylinder engine, although Ford will let you upgrade to a tubocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost will where the Toyota leaves you with just one.
Next, the Kia Forte and Honda Civic were both popularly searched. Honda refreshed its all-star compact car after only one year on the market. Media criticism played a role in that, but so did competing cars within the segment. Arguably the most notable, the Hyundai Elantra gathered praise and quickly rose to give Honda something to sweat about.
Finally, change is almost here for the iconic BMW 3 Series. Starting next year, the brand will split its popular nameplate in two by introducing the 4 Series. Coupe and convertible models will transition to the higher-numbered badge while the sedan will stay the same.
