Scion Racing will return for a second year to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb this weekend.
“This event pushes drivers and vehicles to their extreme limits, and we are looking forward to showcasing the capabilities of three different Scion models on the mountain course,” said Steve Hatanaka, Scion marketing and special events manager.
Driven by Andrew Comrie-Picard, a Scion Racing Rally xD and the GReddy tC will have Takeshi Aizawa behind the wheels. Finally, an FR-S tuned by Evasive Motorsports will round out the trio of Scion cars running in this year’s event with Pikes Peak rookie Robert Walker driving.
The first two vehicles will compete in the time attack class while the FR-S will run in the unlimited class. All three cars have been heavily modified for the race to increase chassis stiffness, safety and output, although details on the modifications weren’t announced today.
