9. Subaru XV Crosstrek $22,790

Despite the Subaru XV Crosstrek having the same MSRP as the Forester, the two cars have different delivery charges. In this case the XV comes up slightly less after destination and delivery, costing just $22,790. The XV Crosstrek comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission which works the all-wheel drivetrain. The 2.0-liter flat-four engine makes just 148 hp, but that’s plenty to move this compact crossover, even in tricky terrain.

My wife and I bought 2008 SX4 and loved them so much, we bought 2 more in 2012. Then they pulled out of the US and the local dealership closed . . . and now we’re bummed. Anyone want to buy a 2012 SX4? :(

I love my Suzuki – no idea why they would pull out – best car out there – I owned two subarus, and they were nice rides, but so so expensive to maintain!! My Suzuki is the best AWD car I’ve had – if they were still around, I’d be shopping right now for a new one – now I am planning to keep my 2011 til it won’t go anymore!!!
