On Independence Day this year, Chevrolet will debut the anthem for its 2014 Silverado pickup, titled “Strong.”
An original song by Grammy-nominated artist Will Hoge, “Strong” will kick off the marketing campaign for the 2014 Silverado in Texas, where one of every six pickup trucks in is sold in the U.S. “Strong” will debut as a music video, digital download, and a television ad and will mostly feature real Chevy owners, not professional actors.
Chevy started rolling out interactive Silverado displays and ride-and-drives in June across Texas, with the rest of the Silverado marketing strategy rolling out throughout the country during the second half of 2013. The American automaker will also host customer activities at NASCAR races, music venues, and sporting events, in addition to partnering with the Nationwide Volunteer Fire Council.
The 2014 Silverado 1500 is an all-new generation of Chevy’s best-selling vehicle in America and boasts the best fuel economy of any V8 pickup with class-leading payload and towing capabilities.
