Infiniti has announced that the 2014 Q50 sedan’s U.S. deliveries will begin on August 5, 2013 at Infiniti dealerships nationwide.

Powered by the Japanese automaker’s 3.7-liter V6 with 328 horsepower, the Q50 replaces the outgoing G37 sedan. The Q50 is also available in hybrid form with a 3.5-liter V6 engine mated to an electric motor that’s good for a combined system output of 360 horsepower.

Pricing for the Q50 was announced earlier this year, starting from $37,605 for the standard gasoline model and $44,855 for the hybrid model – both prices include a $905 destination fee. According to Infiniti, a pre-sale program that was launched at the New York Auto Show closed on June 30 with 3,650 orders. Both Q50 models are available with optional Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.

“The Infiniti Q50 pre-sale exceeded all expectations, becoming the most successful such program in Infiniti history,” said Infiniti Americas Vice President Ben Poore. “There is exceptional interest in this stunningly designed Q50 and its breakthrough performance technologies such as Infiniti Direct Adaptive Steering™, Active Lane Control™ and Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW). The Q50 also offers unmatched levels of connectivity and personalization – the perfect match for customers seeking Infiniti’s unique fusion of inspired performance and hospitality.”
