Lexus has increased its U.S. sales target, expecting to sell between 260,000 and 270,000 vehicles this year.
Last year, Lexus sold 244,166 vehicles in the U.S., and in April the Japanese automaker had an outlook of 260,000 units for 2013. Lexus expects to pull in a strong second half however, thanks to new models heading to dealerships including the 2014 IS. As for the first six months of the year, Lexus saw its sales increase 10 percent compared to last year to 118,415 units. Naturally, that means Lexus is on pace to sell around 237,000 vehicles for the year, but it is confident that the new IS will help fuel a strong finish to 2013.
