Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Celebrated at Goodwood

Porsche is celebrating 50 years of its 911 model at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, announcing an impressive lineup for the event.

The German automaker will roll out seven generations of its 911 model, including an original 911 from the Porsche Museum.

Porsche will also be celebrating 90 years of Le Mans with a collection of storied race cars at the event including the 911 GT1 ’98, the 935/78 “Moby Dick”, and the 936 Spyder that captured three victories at Le Mans. Former race drivers Hans Herrmann and Richard Attwood will be reunited behind the wheel of the legendary 917 KH.

The event will also mark the U.K. debut of the newest 911 GT3.
