The folks at Newport Convertible Engineering (NCE) have built some good looking convertibles in the past, but the first-generation Porsche Cayenne complete with wood trim is not one of them.
The proportions are already thrown off by the lack of a roof and that big black structural bar that runs through the middle of the vehicle. Adding insult to injury, wood paneling is added to bring some of the 60′s and 70′s into 2013. In this case, the past should have kept to itself.
NCE also mocked up a current generation Cayenne convertible using computer software, and is likely looking to see if there is interest in having a modern-day Porsche Cayenne Convertible. Check out the animated picture of the modern day Cayenne Convertible below.
