FORMULA 1 - British Grand Prix

Red Bull isn’t wasting time in finding Mark Webber’s replacement.

The F1 pilot announced his shift to the 2014 World Endurance Championship with Porsche late last month, where he will head up Porsche’s endurance racing effort as a factory driver. That left Reb Bull down a driver, so the company asking its fans which driver to replace Webber with through Facebook.

While it isn’t an open forum for suggestions and discussion about which driver fans want most, the brand listed three and is asking fans who they prefer. The three? Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniel Ricciardo from Red Bull feeder team Scuderia Torro Rosso and Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen.

Raikkonen had 8,450 clicks at the time of writing, which is well over double the number of clicks as Ricciardo while Vergne had barely broken 700.

That doesn’t necessarily mean Raikkonen will join the Red Bull team. Vettel will have a hand in choosing Webber’s replacement, and the choice will probably hinge on who seems to be the best fit.
