2014 Mitsubishi Mirage ES

Mitsubishi is bringing a new subcompact known as the Mirage to the US market, and it will come with a base MSRP of $12,995.

That base price will fetch a manual-transmission equipped Mirage, while shelling out an extra $1000 will bring a CVT to the car. Bumping up to the ES trim will cost $14,195 for the stick shift and $15,195 for the CVT.

Powering the small car will be a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that puts out 74 hp and 74 lb-ft of torque. One of the least expensive cars on the market, the Mirage will also be one of the most fuel efficient, and is expected to achieve 37 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway when equipped with the CVT.

The base Mirage model will be outfitted with tilt steering, power windows and mirrors, automatic climate control, keyless entry, and a four-speaker, 140-watt stereo with USB connectivity as standard equipment on base Mirage models.

Mitsubishi previously said that it was targeting the Chevy Spark with this car, now more apparent as the 2013 Spark also starts at $12,995.

The Mirage will hit dealerships this fall.

    What a steaming pile.

I don’t think they should be allowed to include ‘power windows and mirrors’ as a ‘feature’.

a couple cars still don’t have this feature as standard. Don’t tell Porsche that though, they could manage to fit crank windows on a 911 so that they could charge $2300 for power ones.
