6. MINI Cooper S Roadster

mini cooper s roadster

It doesn’t compare to the FR-S or BRZ in driving dynamics, but this is the first convertible to make the list. These are supposed to be summer cars, after all.

2011 MINI Cooper S Review: Video

After delivery, the MINI Cooper S Roadster costs $29,345 and offers 181 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. Pair that with its small size and tight suspension and you’ve got an urban go-kart like few others.

Such a biased list, where’s the Genesis Coupe?

  • Honest Abe

You mean where is the car with one of the worst manual transmissions you can buy?

  • Simon J

The Veloster Turbo should be here too! What an awesome car!!!

  • Zane

    Long live the Fairlady!

  • red318is

That is a MINI Cooper Convertible pictured not a Roadster. The Roadster doesn’t have backseats.

    FWD and sloooooooow

  • Joe

Lol. But the Mini Cooper S is alright for you rebelyell22?

  • reaj

Genesis coupe should certainly be on this list. Best looking car under 30k and Awesome turbo with easy mods avail to put it over 300 whp 330 wtq

Also the mini and the fiat are straight ridiculous cars for a man. And the 370z should be on this list at all. Go try to find one at the dealership for less then 30k that is bull and it won’t happen.

  • Mike

I love the 370z, but saying you can get it under $30k isn’t very realistic. Also, it should be a sin to put a Fiat above the BRZ/FR-S

  • Alfie

It’s just technically priced at under $30k, meaning it IS possible to get one for that… well… before deliver. So no, it’s not possible.

  • Robby G

I think the Genesis is more of a chick car than the MINI or Fiat. Every time I see one there’s a girl driving it.

  • yapehrh

Mini Roadster looks really nice. Neighbors have mulitple minis. Problem is you can tell its them, seconds after they start the car not even looking out the window. Also, the 28k base price for a decent build with the S is just asking to go over 30K. I simply hate when that happens and the monthly payment spikes because of it.

    McLaren F1!!

  • Gordon Murray

You can buy an F1 for just $20,000-$25,000.

  • Viva_Astronzo

Get in one with a 6 speed sometime.

  • Viva_Astronzo

You just have to know how to use it.
