The all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue has just been revealed at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The 2014 Rogue is the fifth of five all-new redesigned models introduced by the Japanese automaker for the 2013-2014 model years and follows up on the new Altima, Pathfinder, Sentra, and Versa Note. As the second best-selling vehicle in Nissan’s U.S. lineup, the 2014 Rogue has been totally redesigned with bold styling and will have optional third-row seating to fit seven passengers comfortably.

Being assembled in Tennessee, the 2014 Rogue is the first vehicle to be built on the new jointly developed Nissan/Renault Common Module Family (CMF) platform architecture. Compared to its predecessor, the new Rogue has a 0.6-inch longer wheelbase and is 1.2-inches taller, while the front overhang has been reduced by 1.5 inches. To aid with easier entry and exit from the rear passenger space, the rear doors have been redesigned with a wider opening.

The 2014 Nissan Rogue will be powered by a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. The powerplant will be mated to an Xtronic CVT with Sport mode switch and the crossover will be available in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. As for fuel economy, no official EPA figures are available yet, but Nissan projects the 2014 Rogue to get 33 mpg on the highway in front-wheel drive form, an 18 percent improvement compared to the 2013 model year.

Available in three trims, S SV, and SL, Nissan also announced pricing for the new Rogue. In the U.S., the 2014 Nissan Rogue S FWD will be priced from $23,350 including an $860 destination and handling fee. The Rogue SV FWD will start at $25,090 while the top-of-the-line SL FWD will sport a $28,930 price tag. All-wheel drive will be available for $1,350 more.

A special pre-sale reservation program is available starting today, where buyers will receive a $250 gift card when they sign up to be one of the first owners of the second-generation Rogue. In addition, a special $239 Rogue Reservation Program lease is being offered.
