Remaining mostly unchanged since it debuted in 2012, the current-generation Toyota Tacoma sees a few upgrades for the 2014 model year.
The rest of the 2014 Toyota lineup now benefits from Entune Audio and the Tacoma pickup is no exception. With the Entune Audio, the Tacoma also gets its backup camera display moved to the head unit rather than the rear-view mirror.
In addition, the best-selling compact pickup truck in North America gets a sporty new SR appearance package. The SR appearance package is available for the Tacoma PreRunner and 4×4 Access Cab and Double Cab base grade models and adds a sporty look with color-matched exterior pieces including overfenders, door handles, bumpers, grille surround and mirrors with turn signals. The headlight lenses are also smoked while the 16-inch Baja wheels sport a black finish.
Toyota also announced that the Tacoma X-Runner sport truck has been discontinued for 2014.
The 2014 Toyota Tacoma will be priced from $18,735 including an $860 delivery fee. Compared to the 2013 model year, the 2014 Tacoma sees a $100 price increase.
