Predictably, the 2014 Toyota Corolla review was the most popularly read on AutoGuide.com this week.
The Japanese compact sells like big screen TVs on Black Friday. It’s fuel efficient, affordable, reliable and carries fresh styling for the 2014 model year. But there’s a much lower volume car right behind it: the seventh-generation Corvette. Powered by GM’s new LT1 V8, the car offers 455 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.
There’s another new motor right behind the Corvette in terms of popularity this week, too. Cadillac will offer its 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 with 410 hp in the XTS Vsport: a new trim level made available for the 2014 model year. The same engine will find its way into the new CTS Vsport as well, but with a little more power.
Infiniti’s new Q50 sport sedan took fourth place. It uses a 3.7-liter V6, or a 3.5-liter version as part of an available hybrid drivetrain.
Finally, Ford’s latest hot hatch capped off the list. The Fiesta ST uses a turbocharged 1.6-liter mill to offer a smaller, more affordable alternative to the Focus ST.
