The recall affects 18,972 trucks in the United States outfitted with manual front-seat reclining seatbacks. In the event of a rear-end collision, these seatbacks may fail to conform to the federal safety standard that covers dynamic performance as they move too much.
GM says that no injuries have been caused as a result of this problem. Dealers will inspect the seatback reclining mechanism and make adjustments if necessary.
