2015 Hyundai Genesis Previewed in Design Sketches

Four years in development, Hyundai has released design sketches of its second-generation Genesis sedan, previewing new technology, an all-new look and a continued desire to genuinely compete in the luxury segment.

The first Hyundai to sport the brand’s new Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language it’s more simplistic than before with fewer swoopy lines. It is, however, no less dramatic with a prominent flat-nose grille.

In addition, Hyundai has worked to simplify the car’s interior and says the controls will be better laid out with more intuitive operation and grouped together in categories. In addition, Hyundai says the feel and materials used for each button, knob and switch have been improved.

Riding on a new platform the 2015 Genesis promises, “top-class driving and ride & handling performances” and will feature a new HTRAC all-wheel drive system, which controls the torque split front-to-rear electronically. Hyundai says the new car will deliver ride and handling to match European rivals and has been tested on the famed Nurburgring.

The new chassis is also significantly stronger to help improve occupant safety, while the car itself will offer “cutting-edge” safety features.

The 2015 Genesis sedan will lunch in Korea this year, and it markets around the world in 2014.
