BMW has released a teaser video of the car that will succeed the 1 Series, the appropriately named 2 Series.
In every way a new 1 Series, the two-door fits with the brand’s new naming strategy with all sedans getting odd numbers (3, 5 and 7) while coupes will use even numbers (2, 4 and 6).
In addition to the teaser BMW has announced the new car will make its official debut on October 25, though it’s not clear if it will make its first auto show appearance in LA on November 20th, or perhaps later at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
