Hyundai to Reveal 370-HP Veloster at SEMA

Hyundai has teamed up with Fox Marketing Cars to build a wildly customized Veloster. Far more than just a fancy paint job this vehicle is the most powerful “street-focused” Veloster ever. It will be showcased at the Annual SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada in just about a week and a half.

Under its two-tone hood is a familiar 1.6-liter force-fed four-cylinder, just like a showroom-fresh version of the car. In this application it’s been completely overhauled to deliver massive power.

With a new turbo and front-mounted intercooler, water-methanol injection and a special ECU tune it cranks out 370 horsepower running on 101-octane gasoline.

On the chassis front this car features a fully adjustable coil-over suspension and a strut brace. Beyond these items the driver is protected with a four-point harness while six-piston front calipers and special 13.6-inch wavy-cut rotors bring everything to a safe, fade-free stop.

This one-of-a-kind Hyundai Veloster Turbo is of course kitted out with all kinds of other unique styling and design upgrades. It’s got a new front lip spoiler, a custom rear mesh fascia and a black tow strap, to name but a few.

AutoGuide will be out in force covering the SEMA show, which runs from November 5th to the 8th. Stay tuned for more from this exciting event.
