Normally reserved for natural disasters, Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is offering help for customers who have been put under extra burden by the US Government’s recent shut down.

Anyone who has been financially burdened due to the shutdown, such as furloughed workers, government contractors, suppliers and businesses that deal mostly with the government, will be able to defer up to three months of payments assuming they have a good standing with TFS or Lexus Financial Services (LFS).

“The government shutdown has placed an unanticipated financial strain on many individuals and families,” said Al Smith, Toyota Financial Services Group Vice President. “We are pleased to be able to provide some flexibility to our customers affected by this situation.”
