Apparently, not enough people are calling the BMW X6 M ostentatious, so the company is adding a bit more charm to its already unique and eye-catching sport activity vehicle.
The company announced a limited run of X6 M Designer Edition vehicles, which gives 100 customers the chance to look down on other X6 M owners. Inside, the car features merino leather surfaces with contrasting red accents in addition to a two-toned instrument panel in black and red with red stitching for extra eye-candy. Of course, this being a limited run of vehicles, there’s an edition specific badge saying which car out of 100 you’re in.
Sitting inside a X6 M Designer Edition isn’t the only way to know you’re in the company of a BMW enthusiast with impeccable taste. The car features hard-to-miss exterior details, including 21-inch double-spoke M Performance wheels. The Design Edition can be ordered in one of three paint finishes – Alpine White, Sapphire Black or Melbourne Red metallic.
Other exterior call outs include the blacked out side-view mirrors and kidney grille, and BMW still offers its M Performance decals with stripes in the BMW M colors.
Powering the X6 M Design Edition is the same 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 555-hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. The car uses a 6-speed automatic transmission rather than the new 8-speed unit found on the latest generation of X5′s. Power is sent to all four-wheels and and all four-corners of the car feature upgraded brakes and suspension.
