The special edition models of two of Dodge’s most iconic nameplates will arrive at U.S. dealerships in the first quarter of 2014, loaded with unique style, technology and commemorative features. Both vehicles deliver up to 31 mpg with the standard Pentastar V6 engine while enthusiasts can opt for the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with 375 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque. They will also be available in a selection of colors including the exclusive “High Octane” red pearl paint.
Both 100th Anniversary Edition models will get all-new 20-inch polished five-spoke wheels with granite crystal pockets and a matching granite Crystal Dodge split-crosshair grille. To celebrate the brand’s 100th anniversary, the Charger and Challenger will also feature “Dodge Est. 1914” bar-style front-fender badges and special Dodge “100” logos on the center caps. Other exterior accessories include a rear spoiler and a red “R/T” heritage badge for those with the HEMI V8 model.
On the inside, Molten Red or Foundry Black Nappa leather feature a custom cloud overprint that wraps the sport seats, center console armrest and door armrests. Die-cast “Dodge Est. 1914” circular badges adorn the front seatbacks while an embroidered anniversary logo can be seen on the premium floor mats. The instrument panel cluster graphics feature unique black-face gauges with white indication and stand-out red “100” mph indication for the special occasion.
The package will cost $2,200 additional on the Dodge Charger, while Challenger buyers will have to shell out $2,500 more.
