Hyundai Entourage Recalled for Faulty Control Arm

Hyundai Entourage Recalled for Faulty Control Arm

Hyundai has issued out a recall for its 2007-2008 Entourage minivans for a faulty control arm.

The recall affects 15,500 Entourages; all manufactured between February 16, 2006 and June 30, 2008. The recall affects Entourages sold in or currently registered in the following states: Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

All those are snow-belt states, which increases the chance that the front lower control arm can rust and fracture due to corrosion resulting from exposure to road salt and water. Hyundai will be notifying the affected owners and will inspect the degree of corrosion of the front lower control arms and will either rustproof or replace them free of charge.
