2014 Tesla Model S Retains Five-Star Safety Rating

Amidst the ongoing investigation on the Tesla Model S fires, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has granted the model year 2014 Model S with its five-star safety rating.

Given that the Model S didn’t undergo any major changes for the 2014 model year, it’s no surprise that it retains NHTSA’s five-star rating. The American automaker is still awaiting feedback from the agency regarding the investigation into recent fire incidents.
