Mustang fever is at an all time high and the Blue Oval itself has already flipped the switch on its 2015 Mustang landing page.
The site offers new information about the car including details about the convertible model. Ford says it cut the soft top’s open and close time in half compared to the previous generation.
The site also confirms a few new details about the new Mustang coupe. While the car is predictably available with MyFord Touch and Sync, the site also confirms blind-spot sensors and a rear cross-traffic alert system that will make the car easier to drive in reverse. The car also gets keyless entry with push-button ignition.
The car will be available with the familiar 3.7-liter V6 and an upgraded 5.0-liter V8, which benefits from a power boost in the new model. Perhaps more importantly, the car’s 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine will be a major departure from recent Mustangs. It uses twin low inertia turbochargers to provide near the kind of near-instant torque that is helping to make the Focus ST hot hatch so popular.
There’s also information about the nine paint finishes you can get on the Mustang: Race Red, Competition Orange, Triple Yellow, Deep Impact Blue, Ruby Red, Black, Magnetic, Guard, Ingot Silver and Oxford White. There will also be five styles wheels to choose from ranging in size from 18″ to 20″.
Finally, Ford announced that the car will be available in late 2014.
