Following the tragic death of Paul Walker over the weekend, Universal and the team behind Fast and Furious 7 have some tough decisions to make on the future of the successful movie franchise.
It is being reported that the upcoming movie, which had a scheduled release date of July 11, 2014 will face a delay in production but won’t be scraped entirely. The cast was on a hiatus for filming during the Thanksgiving holiday and was expected to return to Atlanta on Sunday to resume shooting.

A conference call was held on Sunday with director James Wan and Universal executives on how to proceed with the future of the franchise along with Fast and Furious 7. It was believed that with the success of the recent films that Fast and Furious 8 was already on the table, though now that could be in question.
One thing is for sure, Walker’s recent passing showed just how much of an impact the movies have made across generations of automotive enthusiasts and hopefully they will live on in his memory.
