An off-road special from Toyota commanded the most attention this week on AutoGuide.
The Toyota 4Runner is one of the few full-size SUVs to still use body-on-frame construction, giving it a less-than smooth ride, but making it one of the toughest SUVs on the road.
Next up this week is the latest in performance cars from Subaru, the 2015 WRX. The new WRX now features a CVT, though a six-speed manual is still offered, along with a a new, smaller, 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine makes 268 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.
Third on the list is our 2014 Maserati Ghibli Review. The Ghibli is Maserati’s latest offering, and is the cheapest car the brand has on offer. A twin-turbo V6 lives under the hood, making 404 hp and 404 lb-ft of torque in S trim, as opposed to the base car’s 345 hp and 369 lb-ft.
Some big horsepower from Chevrolet makes the fourth spot on the list, the 2014 Chevy SS. An LS3 6.2LV8 makes 415 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque, sent straight to the rear wheels.
Last this week we have the 2014 Toyota Highlander Review. Three different powertrains are offered including a 2.7L 4-cylinder, a 3.5L V6 and a hybrid. V6-AWD Highlanders are rated at 18 MPG city and 24 mpg highway.
