Over 4,500 Ford E-Series vans are being called back because their windshields have bubbles that can affect outward visibility.
NHTSA documents show that 4,532 of the vans from the 2011 model year including the E-150, E-250, E-350 and E-450 are all included in the campaign. Improper manufacturing conditions could lead some vehicles developing bubbles in their windshields in especially hot conditions. The affected vans were built between May 12, 2011 and May 26, 2011.
Ford will replace the glass panels free of charge through its dealer network if they are showing signs of forming bubbles. The campaign will begin next week on January 27.
