Audi is showing off the interior for its new TT model at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
Designed to be the focus of attention for the first time in one of the brand’s production models, the TT’s new interior will feature a fully digital instrument cluster that displays all necessary info in front of the driver. Since the cluster eliminates the need for a central MMI monitor, Audi’s designers were given the freedom to slim down the instrument panel.
Sporting a 12.3-inch TFT monitor, drivers can switch between two display modes. In its classic view, the speedometer and tachometer are in the foreground, while in infotainment mode, the virtual instruments are smaller. Instead, the space is taken up for functions such as the navigation map. Other innovations heading to the 2015 TT’s interior include S sport seats with significantly curved side bolsters, integrated headrests and low seating position typical of a sports car.
