Porsche 991 Turbo-Main

Porsche is readying updates for the 911 lineup, and our latest set of spy photos captured the 911 Coupe and Turbo testing in cold weather.

Like all 911 updates, the changes are minimal and the car retains its classic look, but there are quite a few small tweaks. A new front bumper is fitted with larger air intakes and new daytime running lights. A new rear bumper along with new rear taillights can also be seen on these prototypes.

Every model seen here features new air outlets on the rear bumper, helping to solidify a rumor that all 911s will be coming with a turbocharged engine. The smaller turbo six-cylinder will be available to help Porsche cut emissions and improve fuel economy.

“The smaller turbo six-cylinder will be available to help Porsche cut emissions and improve fuel economy.” Sounds like a move to become more CAFE compliant…and less driver compliant.
