Porsche cracked a company sales record in 2013 by delivering 162,145 vehicles, the most that the brand has ever sold to customers around the world.
Porsche made gains in every single market where the company sells cars with the biggest jump coming from the USA, the brand’s largest market. Sales were up by 20.8 percent in the States, with the Chinese market seeing the second largest growth with a 20 percent increase.
The Cayenne SUV continues to be the best-selling model from Porsche, with 80,000 units moved in 2013. The 911 had a good year as well with 30,000 of the sports cars going to customers, while the Boxster and Cayman combined for about 25,000 sales. Those small sports car saw the biggest gains for individual models, year over year.
In 2014, Porsche will begin selling the Macan, a small crossover sibling for the Cayenne. If sales of the large SUV are any indication, this should be a very popular Porsche model.
