The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is expected to make its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
Built new from the ground up, the C63 AMG will be sporting a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with the sedan model hitting the market first before the wagon, coupe and convertible follow. The C63 AMG will feature the changes seen in the latest fourth-generation C-Class sedan that was revealed at this year’s Detroit Auto Show. Expect the C63 AMG to sport more aggressive styling including a reworked hood, wider front fenders and a sporty rear bumper housing trapezoidal exhaust tips.
The new 4.0-liter V8 engine is expected to have at least 450 hp, considering the engine it’s replacing (a 6.2-liter V8) featured 451 hp. Rumor has it that it’ll have performance in the range of 480 hp in order to be a formidable rival to the BMW M3’s 425 hp and the RS4’s 444 hp. The powerplant will be mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission.
AutoGuide reached out to Mercedes-Benz to confirm that the C63 AMG will make its debut at the Paris Motor Show and a spokesman declined to comment.
The show takes place in early October, and is open to the public October 4 to 19.
