What’s better than a Lexus RC F? An RC F with a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model of course.
Lexus has sponsored the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition with four pages in the magazine in addition to a presence at the launch events in New York and Florida. The Japanese automaker also plans on producing plenty of digital content with the magazine next month, though it’s given us a preview of what to expect.
In addition to the advertising and sponsorship of the Swimsuit edition, Lexus will be taking advantage of the app called Aurasma, which recognizes photos. When the app recognizes the car, it will launch a digital video experience. In other words, users will be able to take a static photo and turn it into a full digital experience on their smartphones or tablets.
All of the moves in the marketing world will be complemented by a redesign of the automaker’s website, but for now, enjoy the video Lexus has shared with us featuring a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.
