Mazda will be debuting an all-new Hazumi concept at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, which will preview the next-generation Mazda2.
The concept will likely be a near production-ready vehicle just like the automaker did with its Mazda6 (Takeri concept) and the CX-5 (Minagi concept). Though Mazda only released a teaser image for the Hazumi concept, it shows that the next-generation Mazda2 will receive the automaker’s Kodo design language while retaining an overall curvy design.
The new subcompact will enter production later this year and will sit on Mazda’s SkyActiv modular architecture, which means it will also benefit from new powerplants. The company will also be premiering a new 1.5-liter SkyActiv-D clean diesel engine, which will likely be used in the new Mazda2.
