Mercedes-Benz teamed up with actors Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger to put its B-Class F-Cell vehicle to the test.
To show off the future of mobility and how hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles have a place in our world, the German automaker sent Jackson and Kruger out to Death Valley where the temperatures peaked at 123 degrees Fahrenheit. As the B-Class F-Cell’s only emission is pure water, the two had to rely on what the vehicle was literally producing to survive the dry heat.
According to Mercedes-Benz, both Jackson and Kruger have been driving the B-Class F-Cell in their daily lives for the last two years.
“We’ve become absolute fans of the fuel cell,” said Diana Kruger. “The car usage is so easy. On a day-to-day basis our normal mobility isn’t restricted at all – and we had no water problems in Death Valley either.”
