The custom Ford Mustang starring in the upcoming Need for Speed movie will be auctioned for charity.
Being offered at no reserve, the Mustang GT will cross the Barrett-Jackson auction block in Palm Beach, Fla. on April 12. Proceeds from the sale will go on to benefit the Henry Ford Health System, a not-for-profit group founded by Henry Ford to improve the health and well-being of a diverse community. The movie car features a custom wide body with 22-inch Forgiato wheels.
Other custom elements to the sports car include an enlarged lower grille with new air intakes, extended rocker panels, a twin-snorkel hood and low-profile mirrors. Finished in a custom silver paint with Kona Blue racing stripes, the Mustang GT can be seen on the big screen starting March 14.
